With the Axis being defeated in North Africa, the Mediterranean, and New Guinea, the need to agree on new strategic goals arose inside the Combined Chiefs of Staff. A new course of action was to be set against Italy, Japan, and Germany, to capitalize on the recent successes. But debates and old dilemmas heated up when it came to resources, manpower, and the question: “where to attack next”.
