스트레이트 스토리
73세 노인 앨빈 스트레이트는 갑자기 쓰러져 의사에게 보행기 착용 진단을 받지만 치료를 거부한다. 어느 날 위스콘신에 있는 친형 라일이 위독하다는 전갈을 받은 그는 장애인 딸과 주변의 만류를 뿌리치고 형을 찾아가기로 결심한다. 고물이 다 된 66년식 잔디 깎는 기계 '존 디어'에 최소한의 양식만을 실은 앨빈은 느리고 고통스런 여행을 떠난다.
