Paul drops George off at the Harrington mansion and tells him that Leslie killed Elizabeth Carson. Dr. Morton discovers that Claire isn't registered at the hotel where she said she'd be staying. George breaks into the mansion, wrestles a gun away from Leslie, and demands he write a confession to Elizabeth's murder. Elliot arrives at the mansion and is accidentally shot while attempting to save Leslie from being killed by George. Constance and Julie learn that George has shot Elliot.
