Yuet’s troops have arrived at Gu Su and CHAI has come to know the truth. He calls TSIN a sly old devil and gives him a severe telling-off. To reduce the death toll in Ng, TSIN gets some soldiers to disguise themselves as merchants and spread the message that Yuet’s troops will not kill any civilians of Ng and that the soldiers will be regarded as civilians after being disarmed and their lives will also be spared. The morale of Ng’s troops is seriously shaken. LOK is filled with rage and kills every single deserter he sees. TSIN arrives in the confusion and LOK is killed by Yuet’s soldiers on the spot.
